Soul Diaspora To Hit The Cinema
Soul Diaspora is a several time award winning movie which has won several awards including Audience Favourite Award at the Pan African Film Festival of Hollywood, winner of the Best Film by an African filmmaker in Diaspora at the African Movie Academy Awards, Soul Diaspora depicts the story of Saidu, a Nigerian Immigrant in Los Angeles struggling both with his life, his inner demon and past.
It is a modern tragedy dealing with human relationship, tolerance and redemption, it highlights how important it is to understand and care for one another from the perspective of multicultural youth in places like Los Angeles. Directed by Odeza Ozaka and Clotilde Delavennat, a French actress and also a producer co-produced Ije starring Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Ekeinde. Soul Diaspora will premiere at Ozone Cinema, E-Centre 1-11 Commercial Avenue, Yaba Lagos State, on Saturday Jan 28th, red carpet starts at 6:30pm. This prestigious event is not to be missed due to its impressive list of Nollywood names attending it. As to the singularity and importance of the film Soul Diaspora, it is first of many groundbreaking and deep relevant films from Nigerian Film maker Odera Ozaka and a part of the new wave of film making in the Nollywood Industry.
