PRODUCT SHOWCASE – EXQUISITE CAKE DESIGNS FROM DA CAKES MASTER.

Cake making has been in existence for over a hundred years. Most people are used to the common style of cake designs. However, several creative ideas have sprunged up lately from those who don’t just come out with the usual stuffs but add some form of creativity into bringing out the best and unique designs to suite whatever occasion. Below is an exclusive interview with a young man who is known for his outstanding works in the world of cake making. Enjoy!

* GIVE US A PROFILE OF YOURSELF

My names are Oke Emmanuel Seun aka Da Cakes Master. Lol! I got an OND in Business Administration at Mashood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY). From OGun State, Yewa South. Am the first Son of my Mum and third Son of my father. Basically, I’m from a polygamous home.

* HOW DID YOU VENTURE INTO CAKE MAKING?

My little brother I’ll say inspired me.

* WHY CAKES?

Its Cake because I’ve been seeing several guys venture into this business and I realized ladies love men who do stuffs women are known to take up as careers.

* WHAT INSPIRES YOUR RECIPE?

I always make sure my Flavor meet up my taste.

* WHAT INSPIRES YOUR DESIGNS?

Anything that comes from an educated person will always be different, because he/she will apply his/her creative skill into bringing out the best jobs that will wow anyone who see’s the fantastic job done.

* WHO ARE THE TOP CELEBRITIES YOU HAVE MADE CAKES FOR?

I am just coming up and I believe with time and God’s grace, I’ll be a great person and I strongly believe a time will come when Nigeria’s top Celebrities will look forward to giving me jobs. I’ve made cakes for the likes of wife of the popular football coach Mrs O. Odegbami, popular Nollywood actress Ayo Adesanya, St Janet, Funke Adesiyan, Bimbo Thomas, MC Olu Omo Satty Ramon, Omo Salawe and I’ve also made a cake to mark the 100 days in office of the present Governor of Ogun State, his Excellency Senator Ibikunle Amosun.

* WHAT’S YOUR MOST CHALLENGING ORDER?

I’ve had quiet a number of challenges for example, when I got the job for Mrs O. Odegbami, i was asked to mold the jewelry that she wanted to wear on the day of the event. It was quiet challenging because they thought I couldn’t get the job done and they also said they’ll have to give the job ti someone else. Despite the challenged I asked for God’s favor and I came up with a perfect job. I also got an handshake from her husband Mr Segun Odegbami congratulating me for a fantastic job.

* WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST INTERESTING ORDER?

St Janet Birthday Cake and MC Oluomo Birthday Cake.

* YOU MUST HAVE MADE CAKES THAT DIDN’T COME OUT WELL OR AS YOU INTENDED, WHAT DO YOU THINK WAS THE CAUSE?

Yes it happens once in a while, no one is perfect and the cause of this is that the client must have made a late order and maybe because am in a hurry. I don’t allow the cake come out perfectly formed before decorating and this happens because I don’t have much time on my side.

* HOW DO YOU FEEL WHEN THIS HAPPENS?

I feel so bad because those who don’t know me quiet well would think that’s how my jobs do turn out.

* WHAT DO YOU DO TO SAVE THE SITUATION WHEN A CLIENT COMPLAINS ABOUT AN ORDER?

I make them understand its not entirely my fault and i make sure they get another cake even though it not for the purpose of their Event.
