New Music: Teebaks Drop ‘Mo sese bere’
O.O.Bakare, formerly CRitic UrHyness, now TeeBaks is a Canadian based Nigerian rapper/songwriter/performing artiste born in the capital city of Canada May 11, 1983. Grew up in Nigeria in cities like KD, Ilorin, IB and ended up in Lagos (Lasgidi). Relocated to Canada in January 2007 to pursue a degree in Business Administration at Algonquin College and majored in Materials & Operations Management which is about to be concluded.
TeeBaks as he is fondly called by friends started writing/rapping at the age of 15 with the influence from his big brother. After several unsuccessful attempts to join forces with a couple individuals in the same art, TeeBaks decided to go solo on his own.
“This Is Not Me” …. TeeBak’s first mixtape was released to the online community December 2009 in Ottawa CA. Popular songs off the mixtape like “Bow Down Remix” which featured two of Ottawa’s finest emcee’s M.Jones & Prufrock as well as “Reppin the 613” featuring Prufrock got TeeBaks (at the time CRitic UrHyness) the lil recognition he had in some areas in Ottawa.
TeeBaks has shared the same stage with the likes of Detroits “Bizzare” from D12 at Rock The Mic 2 in Rockland Ontario. Also with a couple of Ottawa’s finest acts “Moun Fou, Radius, Diction, Cashtro, Prufrock, C-Squeezy, Merkz, Eman the Warrior & Toronto’s “The 3rd” to name just a few.
Founded by TeeBaks is N.A.M.E (New Age Music Entertainment), affilliates of N.A.M.E includes Nigerian based and an upcoming rapper J.Ice who will be introduced into the industry in due time, multi talented producer/songwriter/recording artiste Molar Smith who is also the founder of Crust Beats Productions, a beat making factory/recording studio.
