Personality Profile: Meet Phil Roberts – Young, Born-Leader & Christ-Commited

Helen’s Event Blog came in contact with a gentlemen called Phil Roberts for some time now. We later got to see his pedigree after he sent his profile to us and we just had to bring him out here to our esteemed readers.

One thing we noticed about this gentleman is that he has good leadership skills and this has helped put him in positions of authority in the Lord’s house. He is also quite good in relating with people and does’nt have the hang ups most people in leadership positions exhibit. We will be premiering a couple of songs from him but today, we resolved to give you just the info you need to know about him and the link to one of his songs. He is reffered to as the “shine shine bobo” of gospel music. Its about time you get to find out why exactly they call him that.

PHIL ROBERTS is a mechanical Engineer and a multi talented music minister born into a family of entertainment with highly technical and professional skills, coupled with a well developed acumen reflecting a career of strong leadership in entertainment. Phil began his career in music /entertainment in 1996 in Assemblies of God Church Rumuomasi, Port Harcourt. In 2000 he was made the Assistant MUSIC DIRECTOR of Winners’ Campus Fellowship in his school, ANSU, Anambra state. And in view of his accomplishments and team based interaction style in his music ministration, he was made the assistant music director of The Joint Campus Fellowship of the school where he played a dedicated role in bringing about innovations to the school’s JCCF choir.

He also formed a three man band called DE PAPARAZY JAZZ CREW. He was the band leader and the keyboardist of the band. The Trio performed at major events in and outside the school environment and was rated the best Jazz Crew till this day. Between 2009 and 2010, he formed a band called “GOLD MUSIC” which he used to bring succor to the average Niger delta youth, bringing out the creativity in them. He also organized several free music seminars in collaboration with KICC PH.

Phil Roberts is presently the music director of KICC Abuja and the C.E.O/LEAD VOCALIST of Phil Roberts & Da Sound Signatures. He is a music minister who has been into professional music for over 15years. Having been blessed by God as a multi talented instrumentalist, song writer, music producer and also a good vocalist, he holds an impressive record of quality music delivery. Notably, he was also one of the screening Judges and music director/instructor at “THE GOSPEL VOICE” Talent hunt show in Abuja. He positions entertainment as an avenue for young people to grow their talents and also fend for themselves. He is presently the Business Development consultant of an NGO called Child Education and Crime Education and a member of the American Society For Non Destructive Testing Engineers.

He has written lots of songs in times past and presently he has a couple of singles currently being promoted ahead of the release of his full length album. He has worked with producers likeMac Rock(The Rock Ambassador), MEKOYO, Manus and Gospel on De Beat of TY Mix Studio (ET Quake studio) Abuja.
