Ex-NNPC Top Ibrahim Adelakun’s Daughter Commits Suicide over Failed Marriage Plans

These are not good times for the former NNPC assistant Director Ibrahim Adelakun is not in his best moments as his only daughter, Mariam allegedly committed suicide a few weeks ago . According to reports, Mariam was engaged to another NNPC top shot’s son and the marriage plans was already in top gear. With the formal introduction taking place at their Kwara State home before the other wedding programmers which were slated for Abuja took place . It was gathered that the initial date was October last year but for the death of a close relation made the wedding date had to be moved to January this year. Mariam was said to have concluded her shopping and made all necessary arrangements only for issues relating to her being involved in drugs came up. Her suitor’s family discovered this while sharing the wedding invitation cards. They had to do a rethink, in the process, the guy left town, sent a message that the wedding had to be put on hold as he had to proceed abroad for further studies. All efforts for Mariam to reach him proved abortive as the family wanted her out of the guys life. As days proceeded, Mariam kept to herself and hardly left her room.. hence the father and step mum didn’t know she was dead in her room until close to twenty hours after she had killed herself by taking excess drugs.
