How To Get Your Guests To Put Away Their Damn Phones At Your Party

From disturbing ringtones during a speech to  guests shouting at the top of their voice during a conference.. If you’ve ever planned an event or attended one..you would be familiar with such awkward disturbances.

No matter the type of party, people will want to bring cell phones to it. Asking people to forfeit using their precious devices for a few hours may be a bad idea but the rules below will help you navigate this tricky request.

1. Let People Know Your Event is ‘Device Free’ Before They Arrive: The worst mistake you can ever make is catching your guests by surprise. It’s extremely important  you inform them ahead.

2. Be Totally Clear About What You Want: If you don’t want your event photos on any of the social media platforms or if devices are banned out-rightly.. do let them know.
