In line with its promise to empower individuals through beauty and style knowledge, personal style brand, Natures Gentle Touch has given its support to the just concluded Women in Business and Leadership Summit (WIBLES) held in Lagos.
With the theme, ‘Building Greatness’, the summit celebrated strides made by women in leadership positions across industries and recognised how empowering the next generation of women leaders is essential for building a great society.
Speaking at the event, Brand Manager – Natures Gentle Touch, Mrs. Toyin Adepegba, while commending GLEEHD Foundation for organizing the summit highlighted the important roles women play in the society and how they can immensely contribute to the economy.
‘It’s a great honour to be a part of this summit. As a brand, we celebrate women and will continually support initiatives that buttress the importance of women in the economic development of our nation. We recognize the marks already being made by women in various fields and would like to encourage more women to explore their potentials,’ she said.
During her opening remarks at the Summit, President, WIBLES and Chair, Advisory Board, GLEEHD Foundation (Africa), Chief Mrs. Opral Manson Benson noted that while more women take the reins at the most reputable intuitions on the continent, women are sadly still the most underutilized resources in community development in Africa.
Mrs Opral added that this oversight is the major reason for limiting positive outcomes as women are resilient and focus on quality-of-life issues. It is on this premise that WIBLES is organized as a tool to build the capacities of women to deliver the future and create a platform for women to support other women.
The 3-day event was graced with the presence of leading women from various industries in Nigeria. Some of the attendees at the event were the Former Vice-President, World Bank, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili; United States Consular General, Mrs Dehab Ghebreab; H.E. Mrs. Toyin Saraki, Founder Wellbeing Foundation; Nollywood actress, TV host and Cosmetologist, Taiwo Ajayi-Lycett; Philosopher and writer, Professor Sophie Oluwole; Chief Executive Officer, Flying Doctors, Dr. Ola Orekurin amongst others.
