Fanta “Play It Better” IMC Campaign Media Launch Event (Photos)

Good afternoon. Thank you for honouring ourinvitation to the official launch of the new Integrated Marketing Campaign for our Fanta brand. I hope you had an exciting and engaging morning session with the Play activities we set up for you? (wait for response from audience, before continuing…)
The essence of the Fanta brand can be described in three words, “Play”, “Fun” and “Exciting”. As you experienced this morning, I am sure you will agreewith me that the Fanta brand truly personifies these three elements and brings them to life in a specialway.
Fanta is the number 1 market leader of the Flavours segment of the Sparkling beverage category. Over the last few years, our consumer communication has consistently revolved around the Play theme andfeatured our unique Fanta Characters – Maude, Tristan, Gigi, Floyd, Andy, Todd, The Lhava Twins, Lola and Sun. These characters are now aged up and in their teens. In the new Fanta campaign which we have called, “Play It Better”, the aged up characters are featured in settings that are common to teens their age. You will see their playful, fun personalitiescome through as they show how they navigate through different teen tension moments. You will also observe that they never lose a chance to engagein their fun interests anytime they meet up with their friends.
The new “Play It Better” campaign kicked off yesterday, Monday 15th February, and will run for an 11-month duration with 3 different copies. The creative communication will be expressed on multiple media platforms – television, radio, out of home, digital and print. The campaign will feature a total of 4 television ads, 1 cinema material, 4 radio ads which will each be translated from English into Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, and Pidgin, and 3 out-of-home executions.
Beyond the traditional media, we will also connect with consumers nationwide through our digital and social media platforms – the Fanta website (www.Fanta.com/nigeria), our Facebook page and our Twitter account. We will initiate conversations with them and encourage them to dialogue with us.
Through our experiential sampling activations, we will take our exciting campaign directly to our consumers and also give them the opportunity to enjoy ice-cold Fanta. The sampling activations will mainly be held in secondary schools and other teen locations throughout the country.
