H.E.B Proposal Stories: Olushola & Temitope’s Amazing Proposal

Olushola and Temitope met in Covenant University in 2009, they were both in 200L and became fast friends immediately mostly due to Olushola’s ever jovial nature. 

Taemie instantly had a crush on Olushola but had to let it go since they were both in a relationship at that time. They kept in touch even after they both graduated, became best friends in 2012 and got even closer after they realised they lived in the same area.

In 2013, they were both single again so Olushola shot the ‘be my girlfriend’ question at Taemie who declined immediately for fear of losing their friendship for good as she was leaving for her Maters degree in the United Kingdom and he was going to calabar for his NYSC. 

Taemie and Olushola remained in touch, hung out severally after they came back to Lagos, shoved off friends that teased them about being perfect for each other and complained about their new individual relationship to one another. 

Fast forward to 2015, they were both at great places in their lives, single and happy. Taemie decided to ask Shola why they weren’t in a relationship on 28th of April, 2015 and on 17th of May, 2015 Shola officially asked Taemie to be his girlfriend. They both agreed to give it a shot and if it doesn’t work out after 3 months, they would recline. 

17th of November 2016, Shola surprisingly asked Taemie to ‘Be His Wife’ at his dad’s birthday dinner in the presence of both families. The day also happened to be exactly 1 year and 6 months since they started the relationship officially.
