Hi guys, it’s still the Game of Thrones season and I’d be taking you through a tour of the amazing filming locations you can visit in real life.So sit back and enjoy…

1. Castle Ward, Northern Ireland

The Castle ward is eccentric 28th century mansion and estate looking out over the tranquil waters of Stranford Lough in County Down. The castle has a tear room, gift shop, second-hand book shop, farm yard with ducks, chicken and goats, you can hire a bike and get exploring. Castle ward farmyard was featured in season 1 of the Game of Thrones

2. Trujillo Castle, Spain

Located in the province of Caceres, Trujillo castle was built between the 9th and 12th century. The castle is built with blocks of dressed granite with seventeen square defense around it . Two of which protect the entrance gate which has horseshoe arch. The castle is about 40 minutes to the west of Caceres.

3. Torsten Arboretum, Croatia

Torsten Arboretum made frequent appearances in season 3 and 4 in Game of Thrones making it very famous. Torsten Arboretum appeared as the garden of kings landing with the pergola featuring heavily in Tyrell family scenes.

4. Girona Cathedral, Spain

The cathedral of Saint Mary of Girona is located in Girona, Catalonia, Spain. Girona cathedral is known for its unique feature.

5. Fairhead Cliffs as Dragonstone

Location: Fairhead Cliffs, close to Ballycastle, Co. AntrimNorthern Ireland’s tallest cliff face, the Fairhead Cliffs rise hundreds of metres above the Causeway Coast. The cliffs appear in Season 7 Episode 3, The Queens Justice, when Tyrion asks Jon Snow if he can help and where Varys told Melisandre that they would both return and die in ‘this strange country’.A short walk from the car park will bring you to the edge of these incredible cliffs where a lot of these scenes were filmed.

6. Park as The Haunted Forest

Location: Bryansford Road, Newcastle, Co.DownTollymore Forest Park is one of our favourite places to visit in Northern Ireland as the walks and hikes throughout the park are fantastic. and it features regularly in Game of Thrones. It’s the setting for The Haunted Forest where the Three Night’s Watchmen encounter a White Walker and it is also the scene of Theon Grevjoys escape attempt when he is pursued by Ramsay Snow.
