Event Review: Another Father’s Day Movie Premiere

I attended the movie premiere of Another Father’s Day starring Wale Ojo and leading Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe.Red carpet for the event was meant to kickoff at 5pm and then movie viewing at 6:30pm. On getting to the venue, the red carpet session had kicked off. Registration was pretty easy for me and I was given a blue tag and then I made my way to see what was happening. Stars in the movie were giving interviews, guests were exchanging pleasantries, DJ played some cool songs.I’ve attended a few movie premieres and I must say that this particular event had some glitches. I expected more from Silverbird. The place was hot, the space for the red carpet session was too small you could barely take a few steps without stepping on someone’s toes or bumping into someone. The Red carpet session dragged on for too long . Apparently there was a Bollywood movie showing at the time. So guests had to wait. We didn’t go into the cinema until 7:30pmI’m looking forward to a time in Nigeria where there will no longer African Time. A time when event producers will realize that time is precious and it shouldn’t be wasted waiting for them to get their act together.THE MOVIEAnother Father’s Day is a family movie… so if you love the plenty drama in a household then you would love the movie. Married women would also relate very well to the movie.
