RESTAURANT REVIEW: Lapaz Cafe and Grill

Published

on

It was Sallah day and i was bored.. i jumped into my car to take a cruise around town…. while around Adeniyi Jones, i spotted this new restaurant called Lapaz Cafe and Grill so i stopped by. They kicked off business officially two weeks ago.

Lapaz Cafe and Grills is located on 100, Adeniyi Jones. They have an open spot where you can chill and watch football. They also have a sitting area inside the building where you can order tea, coffee or cappuccino.

I was expecting to spend about N5000 for a meal but flipping through their menu, i realized that their meals were quite affordable.

I had a plate of fried rice and grilled chicked. My meal cost just N1500 .Nice meal and well prepared. I only had issues with the flies.. i couldn’t enjoy my meal in peace.

Out of curiosity, i took a tour around and found that they even had more beautiful spaces at the top. A bar, cute sitting area’s. They had pictures of prominent personalities like King Sunny Ade, Onyeka Owennu, Sir Victor Uwaifo, Brenda Fassie, Fela on the wall. They had inspiring quotes on the walls too .

The ambiance was relaxing. Lapaz is top notch considering the fact that it is located on the mainland. The music was perfect you would think you’re in one of those classy restaurants on the Island. Lapaz gives you that Island restaurant vibe on the mainland. That must have been the reason why i stayed longer than expected.

Lapaz is a cool spot on a budget. You want a good meal without spending so much? Lapaz suits that purpose.

The only major issue would be parking.. they do not have a large parking space. You would have to park on the road. God help you if the Lastma guys don’t tow your vehicle while you’re lounging. See pictures below

This is really helpful. I was looking for a nice place to go with my siblings this Christmas, and this looks like a good option.
