GQ Men of The Year Awards: John Boyega Honoured With GQ’s Icon Award | See Full Winners List
The GQ Men Of The Year Awards celebrating people who impacted the world in the past 12 months returned for its 23rd year, on Thursday.
Nigerian-British actor, John Boyega, was the recipient of GQ’s Icon award.
According to GQ, the Star Wars actor won GQ’s Icon Award for using his profile to draw attention to the Black Lives Matter movement. Also, he has been at the forefront of the global campaign to highlight police brutality and extrajudicial killing in Nigeria especially during the #EndSARS protest.
