How Popular Nigerian Socialite , Kayode Badru Got Burnt To Death At Celestial Church
Facts have emerged on how popular Nigerian socialite based in Dubai, Kayode Badru, got burnt during a deliverance accident at Celestial Church of Christ and died at a hospital in Gbagada, Lagos.
HelenEventBlog gathered that his body caught fire during a prayer session at the Church and he was rushed to a hospital, where he eventually died on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
The late Kayode Badru had landed in Lagos from Dubai to attend the graduation ceremony of 40 students he gave scholarships to study at Academy For Innovative Art and Technology – (ACIATECH).
After the graduation ceremony, he visited his Church on Wednesday for Isegun – (Victory) programme and was asked to come out and kneel down at the middle of the Church and was surrounded with white candles. He also held one candle in his hand not knowing what will befall him.
While kneeling down, the Prophet of the Church began to spray perfume on his body and within a few minutes, his body was on fire due to his closeness to the candles and strong attraction from the perfume. He got burnt and was rushed to the hospital, where he eventually died.
There has been reactions over the death, which was largely attributed to ignorance and negligence by the Prophet, who did not know that the perfume he was spraying would catch fire while some said it was his fate because the Prophet had been using the perfume in the past and there was no such accident.
According to Celestial News Online, the Shepherd who conducted the prayer session and two other elders involved in the case have been arrested and are currently at Panti police station.
