The Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and his wife, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo payed a condolence visit to the family of Chief Ernest Shonekan in Lagos, Nigeria. 16th Jan, 2021.

Chief Ernest Shonekan was a Nigerian lawyer and statesman who served as the interim Head of State of Nigeria from 26 August 1993 to 17 November 1993.

Shonekan died in Lagos at the age of 85.
