Fuel Souvenir: Party Host Sentenced to 27 Months in Prison
On March 4th, a female socialite Ogbulu Chidinma Pearl, distributed petrol as a souvenir to guests at an event organized to celebrate her chieftaincy title.
Videos of the distribution of petrol-filled jerrycans at the event had elicited reactions on social media.
However, a special offenses (mobile) court in Lagos has now sentenced Pearl to 27 months imprisonment or option of N15,000 fine on the first count of the charge.
The magistrate also ordered the defendant to pay N1 million fine on the second and third count of the charge or face two years imprisonment.
