My Battle With Prostate Cancer — Charly Boy

Veteran Nigerian entertainer, Charles Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy has revealed that he had been in the hospital for over 10 days battling prostate.

The legendary singer and songwriter told his fans that but for the grace of God, he returned from the jaws of death.

He further noted that to get treatment for his ailment, he underwent medical care in Nigeria.

In a video shared on his verified Instagram account, Charly Boy said, “Today I am being discharged from the hospital. In my life, I am happy doing this video. I have fought so many battles. And I have won so many battles. But for the past ten days, I have been battling with something very huge.

“But as God would have it, he saved my life and I beat that sucker. I have been fighting my prostrate issues. It is not a small thing. Not as you are seeing me shining. You will see videos and know I came from the jaws of death. That thing that has killed many people did not kill me.”
