Highlights & Pictures From Nigeria’s First Premium Gifts Expo 

The Premium Gifts Expo 2016 held at The Batten House Ikeja on October 3rd 2016 has come and gone but not to be forgotten so quickly.

The Premium Gifts Expo is the first of its kind in Nigeria organized by 2 ladies in The Gifting industry in Nigeria, Mrs Yejide Owootomo CEO Gifts n all and Mrs Yetunde Omorode CEO and Principal Consultant GiftShack. According to them, it had always lurked at the back of their minds to organize such an event and totally spur of the moment when the two met up and planning commenced in June 2016.

The idea behind the Premium Gifts Expo Was to have a gathering of their colleagues in the Gift industry rendering gifting solutions with creative and innovative ideas under one roof to showcase the evolution,growth and diversity of the Gift Industry. 

The event kicked off at about 10.30am with an opening prayer by Father Peter from St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, followed by the ribbon cutting to declare the event open by Yejide Owootomo and Yetunde Omorode supported by their spouses.

The venue had a wide spread of over 40 exhibitors in individual Expo style Booths cutting across different gift genres and gift services such as exotic handmade gifts, proudly made in Naija gifts, edible and gourmet gifts, event souvenirs, corporate and promotional gifts, children’s gifts,gift wrappings services packaging options, printing, branding and so much more.

The Premium Gifts Expo food court had different grills, finger foods,sweet treats, drinks and cocktails in abundance for the attendees and exhibitors.The children were not left out as the PGE Fun Zone catered to the little children, preteens and even teenagers. It was fun galore with archery, face painting, art and craft, bouncy castle, sumo wrestling, air hockey,chess and so much more. The Photo Area had attendees and exhibitors taking photos with themed photo props.

Attendees that were at the expo ranged from parents to staffs and representatives from schools, banks, oil and gas companies, fashion industry, celebrities,media and others. One of the highlights of the event was the interactive session with 2 guest speakers. Mrs Yeye Bush of Manners Matter, a prominent etiquette coach who schooled the sitted attendees on”The Art of Gifting”. Ms Yinka Okeowo CEO of Magna Events also empowered her listeners talking about “Passion to Paycheck”

The PRemium Gifts Expo award segment was anchored by the MC and awards were presented by Mrs Funke Bucknor-Obruthe CEO Zapphaire Events. Awards such as Best Booth,Most Cordinated Booth, Best Customer Service,Most Visited and so much more.

The MC took over the lucky Dip segment which had attendees and exhibitors winning various gifts.The MC , Dr Ayotunde, otherwise known as the only MC with a PH.D. was very sociable and kept everyone duly informed and entertained through out visiting each booth and interacting with guests and exhibitors.

The DJ courtesy of YBNL Record Label kept the atmosphere bubbly airing out great music and keeping the event lively and pumped. The skater boys entertained with their dance and skating skills to the delight of the audience.

The media presence of HipTV , Core Media TV and Heleneventblog cannot be under emphasized as Live Feeds of video and photos were uploaded online throughout the event. They interviewed attendees,the organizers,exhibitors even the children to get a general overview of their experiences at The Premium Gifts Expo. Several attendees and exhibitors expressed delight in the organization of the event and sent several congratulatory messages to the expo organizers who single handedly and successfully put the Premium Gifts Expo together using private funds as they had NO SPONSORS.

A vote of thanks by the Expo Organizers, Mrs Owootomo and Mrs Omorode preluded the close of the event where they wholeheartedly thanked the Pioneer Exhibitors of The Premium Gifts Expo for believing in them. A quick introduction of the Premium Gifts Expo Team who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the event a success rounded up the event. 

The Expo Organizers have promised to make The Premium Gifts Expo 2017 bigger and better by God’s grace.
