Lagos Agent Battles Star Actress, Funke Adesiyan, Over Lekki Home
Pretty big and blessed Yoruba actress, Funke Adesiyan, seems to have enmeshed in another house controversy that is not too good for her personality following her exploit in the movie world, especially the Yoruba movie genre. An agent, identified as Tolulope Idowu, is seriously threatening fire and brimstone to deal with Adesiyan if his N80,000 agency fees for her newly-rented two bedroom apartment at Alhaji Isiaka Road, off Unity Road, Badore, Ajah, Lagos State, is not paid.
Narrating his encounter with the busty actress, Idowu exclusively told The Eagle Online that over three months ago, he secured a two bedroom apartment through one manager of the property, identified as Lucky, for Adesiyan for N1.220 million.
But she was yet to pay the agent fees, which she agreed to pay, before moving into the apartment.
Idowu, in his words, said: “I will definitely recover my money from Funke by fire by force because that was the agreement.”
He reiterated further that after securing the apartment for the actress, he personally took the actress to the property and she indicated interest and paid for it and promised to pay the agent fees before packing into the apartment.
Tolulope Idowu added: “I’ve made several calls to her but always made promises without being fulfilled.
“Even at the estate right now, there are several complaints from her neighbours as she has failed to meet up with security fees and other miscellaneous fees in just three months of her stay in the neighborhood.”
However, in a swift reaction, Adesiyan debunked the story and said she only recognized Lucky as the agent and manager of the property.
Adesiyan told us that Idowu is only trying to soil her image because of the fact that she is a celebrity.
Adesiyan in her words said: “I am so delighted for you to have called me.
“Idowu only wanted to present me to the public in bad taste being a celebrity.
“I don’t owe him.
“He had to plot this because he requested for a job from me and I declined.
“I don’t need men again.
“I already have a gate man.
“At times, I give him money for his upkeep.
“So what does he want from me?
“I mean, I don’t deserve this.
“Please call Lucky to confirm this.”
Meanwhile our further checks revealed that Adesiyan’s claims are all false.
A member of Ajah Association of Agents, identified as Bola, confirmed that there was truly an agreement between Idowu and Funke on the agent fees before packing in.
Bola told us that the matter has already been reported to the association and that drastic measures will be taken to recover the money from her. He added that Tolulope Idowu is a well known agent in Lekki/Ajah axis and he has never requested for any job from Funke as she claimed.
This medium, however put a call to Lucky to throw more light to the issue but he said he would not like to comment on the issue. This scenario is coming almost a year after Adesiyan had similar issue with her Ibadan landlord.
Adesiyan had spread the news of her acquisition to the public not until her landlord opened up that it was a rented apartment and originally owned by him.
