GOtv Rewards Partners: Vendors Receive Gifts for Outstanding Performance
Digital pay-TV operator, GOtv has rewarded its vendors with bumper prizes for their outstanding performance in its monthly loyalty scheme. Seventeen vendors were rewarded for the months of June to September 2013 at a ceremony held on Wednesday, 23 October 2013 2013 at the Rodizzio Lounge, Ikeja in Lagos. Among the prizes received were branded GOtv tricycles, generators, and refrigerators.
The GOtv value chain is in three levels – Super Dealers, Retailers and Vendors. The Vendor Loyalty Scheme was designed to empower entrepreneurs and reward the lowest level of the GOtv value chain. It is a monthly points-based scheme in which vendors acquire points of 100, 200, 350 or 500 based on the number of decoders sold within one month, in order to win generators, flat screen television sets or refrigerators. The initiative was launched on 28 May 2013 in five cities but has now been extended to 12 cities.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, general manager, GOtv Nigeria, Mrs Elizabeth Amkpa, said that GOtv is built on local partnerships and committed to delivering family entertainment. Explaining that the loyalty scheme was developed to empower entrepreneurs and reward outstanding sales performance among GOtv vendors, she stated that CARE – Consistency, Accessibility, Reliability and Efficiency are virtues which GOtv are known for and that the vendors who qualified for the prizes are those who have been consistent in their sales since the introduction of the scheme.
Mrs Amkpa acknowledged the vendors and other members of the GOtv value chain for their collaborative efforts which have made the GOtv service accessible in several neighbourhoods in the territories in which the service is available.
“Our vendors are an important channel in the GOtv value chain. We are excited to see the progress you have made, from purchasing as little as five decoders when you started to over a hundred units at the minimum currently. By your efforts, potential subscribers all around the cities in which GOtv signals are live can easily access GOtv and enjoy exciting quality digital entertainment and we are appreciative of your support”, Mrs Amkpa said.
Mr Ismaila Sulaimon Ayinde of Segabiz Nigeria Enterprises and Mrs. Bolanle Adegbenro of Ofemina Concept were awarded special prizes of branded tricycles popularly called Keke for outperforming others, citing them as role models for other GOtv vendors to emulate.
Thanking GOtv for the reward and recognition, Mrs. Bolanle Adegbenro of Ofemina Concept and winner of a GOtv branded tricycle, thanked GOtv for introducing the scheme, stating that the she has been highly empowered by virtue of her status as a GOtv vendor. Her in words, “I want to thank GOtv not just for the Keke for giving the opportunity to become a vendor. Since I started selling GOtv I have become better enlightened. My family has also become more empowered financially. My sons who support me in selling have learned how to install GOtv for subscribers, and this earns us extra income”.
GOtv currently has over 3,000 vendors across the country and continues to welcome new vendors as its services becomes available in more cities. GOtv is now live in 13 cities.
