Gov. Babatunde Raji Fashola Emerges 2013 Man Of The Year
Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) of Lagos has been voted the 2013 MAN of the YEAR by and International Pressure Group, the Concerned Nigerians in the Diaspora Watch Initiative (CNDWI) based in the US for his consistent outstanding efforts at transforming Everything that has to do with Lagos to an international standard and for setting an unprecedented pace in quality and acceptable governance.
In a statement released on January 1, 2014 by the body, out of 100% of the people who voted online across the world for a Nigerian leader worthy of celebration, commendation and who has stood out uniquely in leadership and government in the year 2013, 75% voted for Mr. Babatunde Fashola of Lagos, thereby making him the winner of the group’s Man of the Year recognition award. The spokesman of the group, Dr. Amata Greig, a Nigerian based in the US says
‘We agree with the voters’ decision because we have equally watched Mr. Fashola governed Lagos State progressively and rewadingly satisfactorily over the years he has been in charge. The standard of governance is civil, peaceful, standard and it has impacted positively enough on every sector of the Lagos economy. We look forward to more of his type in the leadership and governance of our country.’
