Oyo State Industry, Science And Technology Commissioner Sets Up Committee On Industrial Development For The State

The Commissioner for Industry, Applied Science and Technology, Mr. Adedapo Lam-Adesina has taken another step further by setting up a committee for Industrial development as part of the transformation Agenda of the new Administration in the ministry.

The committee which was inaugurated at the Office of the Honourable Commissioner today 17th of March, 2014 is headed by the Senior Assistant to the Governor on Industry Dr(Mrs.) Adebukola Adebusuyi,Director of Industry Mr Oyesiji,Engr Olanrewaju and Engr Oladipo of the Industry department while Mrs A.Moshood will be the secretary of the committee.

Mandate of the committee includes formulating an industrial development policy for the State, development of industrial statistics such as database of industries in the State, Resuscitation of the Oyo State small scale industry complex (OYSSIC) and organizing an industrial forum tagged “Oyo State Industrial Forum 2014”

Mr. Adesina urged the members to develop a frame work in the shortest time possible. He said this would increase economic activities in the state and on the long run adds enormous value to the gradual development of the state.
