Brand Communicator To Hold Markcom Students Forum

Awesome Communications, publishers of the frontline brands marketing and communications journal, Brand Communicator has perfected strategies to host one of its kinds Markcom Student Forum on October 30, 2015 at Eko fm Multipurpose Hall, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos by 9 am

 

This year’s student forum, themed: Consumer Engagement InThe New Media Age will enable students to have access to current industry insights, and also afford them huge opportunities to meet prospective mentors to shape their future careers.

Speaking on the forum, Publisher of Brand Communicator, Mr. Joshua Ajayi said, “Markcom Students Forum was born out of the need to bridge the gap between the ivory tower and the marketing and communications industry. We also conceived this idea due to a need to keep students and prospective practitioners abreast of the current trends in the industry.”

He said that the forum is designed to be the foremost interactive platform for exchange of ideas between prospective practitioners and professionals in the marketing and communications industry, adding that the forum seeks to be the leading mentorship platform for young and prospective professionals intending to venture into the practice of marketing and communications field.

According to him, the Markcom Student Forum which is now in its fourth edition is an interactive platform which is absolutely free for students. He said it will also serves as a consumer engagement platform for brands engaging with their prospects and consumers using a three pronged approach.

Among the seasoned marketing and communications professionals that will be guest speakers at this year’s forum include: Tomi Ogunlesi, Corporate Brand Manager, Interswitch Group; Lola Odedina, General Manager, Communications/External Affairs, GTBank Plc; Lekan Otufodurin, Online Editor, The Nation newspaper; Feyi Olubodun, General Manager/Chief Operating Officer, Insight Communications.

Others are: Sola Fijabi, Principal Partner, Brooks and Blake and Femi Odugbemi, Managing Director, DV WORX.

It will be recalled that Brand Communicator had organised three editions of Markcom Student Forum where seasoned professional facilitated participants on various topics in the practice of marketing communications.
