The festival which held on Mon, June 26, 2017, was aimed at showcasing the different ways Baileys can be enjoyed in delicious treats such as cakes and cocktails.

The day-long event which had A-List celebrities Funke Akindele, Waje, Alexx Ekubo and Mai Atafo as one-half of teams of two competing in the Baileys Bakefest with the other half of the teams comprised of upcoming bakers selected on social media was one pretty much an interesting competition.

Each team baked all sorts of baileys-infused cakes and prepared different baileys-infused cocktails as well, some of which were encouraged by the judges to included in restaurants and bars food and cocktail menus.

The judges, Tolu Erogbogbo (Chef Eros), Lara Rawa, Alex Oke and Ify Monye, who were fair and just in their remarks also made the competition fun and intriguing alongside the host Adebowale Omotunde and co-host Chuey Chu.

With lots of yummy gourmets from about 40 vendors, exciting and fascinating games like soccer, ‘X and O’, ‘food munchers’, snooker, tennis and a whole lot more interesting activities flying around the park to keep the event going, there was definitely no dull moment at the event.

I mean, even if you were not interested in the food and competition aspect of the event, you’d definitely find an activity to get you going the whole day.

Crowning the event after a long, interesting competition which team Alex and Tolu won, was a show of dancing talent. All the celebrity bakers and their teammates all showcased their dancing ability.
