Hotel Review: Class Suites, Ikeja

Published

on

I was delighted to accept the invitation from Class Suites to spend a day at the hotel. It was my first time passing the night there and I wasn’t sure of what to expect in terms of their service. Class Suites has received a significant number of awards for best hotel and I wanted to experience what made them special.

Location
Class Suites is located at No 17, Agbaoku Street, Ikeja. It is just 15min away from the International airport and 10min away from the local airport. 10mins away from Ikeja City Mall and 15mins away from Maryland Mall.
Was There Any Pre-arrival Communication Between Me and The Hotel’s Management?
Yes there was. Most of our communication was done via social media. Instagram, to be precise. Although there was a little hitch because I had arrived early and there was no room available at the time I got there. I had to wait for a while and then I told them to get in touch when they have a room for me. I would have arrived at 12noon if I was informed that all their rooms were fully booked. The management apologized for this little stress they put me through.
Has the hotel tried to gather any personal information (e.g. preferences) prior to my stay?
No. But the manager on ground knew I was coming . She said she has been expecting me.
How quick and efficient was the hotel check-in?
Immediately I arrived at the reception, the front desk staff gave me a warm welcome. I filled my details on a form that was given to me and then she helped me with my luggage to the room and I didn’t have to tip her.
Was there any welcome amenities?
No
Was I informed about the WiFi connection and did I pay for it?
As i stepped into my room, the WiFi security password was handed over to me and I didn’t have to pay to use it.
Room Experience

I had a spacious room with a work station, digital safe, tv, AC, charger dock, and a small sitting area in it. The TV and AC worked perfectly.

Cost of Room

I stayed in the double deluxe room which cost about N17,500 per night and it entitled me to a complimentary breakfast and free hotel pickup. They also have the exclusive double room which cost about N21,000 per night.
THE BED

The bed was pretty big. I had 4 huge pillows to myself. I don’t like pillows that much so I used just one althrough the night.
BATHROOM/TOILET

The bathroom and toilet were very clean. There were bath gels, shower cap, one towel and one bathrobe for me. The shower gels was not branded but the towel and bathrobe had the logo of the hotel on them.

FOOD

I had plantain and egg for lunch, Fried rice and chicken for dinner and plantain and egg for breakfast this morning . It took 20mins and the waiter kept to time. I give them 80% for this. They were very time conscious.

POOL

The pool experience was pretty amazing. The pool is about 7ft deep while the shallow area is about 5ft.

BAR/RESTAURANT
The bar and restaurant looked pretty much simple. You can get a drink at the bar for as low as N300. A glass of Chapman cost N800 which is pretty cheap. While a standard plate of food isn’t that expensive .

Security

General Thoughts.
Would I Recommend Class Suites?
Yes.

Would I Stay Again
Yes. But I also think it will be nice if the management called in to check on the guests. To findout if they are comfortable or if they need anything.
