Restaurant Review: My First Time Experience at Ocean Basket, Ikeja G.R.A

Ocean Basket recently opened their outlet in Ikeja G.R.A. Before the opening, they had made an announcement on their Instagram page. I have visited most of restaurants in Ikeja G.R.A and was looking forward to a new restaurant opening. Bungalow Restaurant in G.R.A , Ikeja has been my favourite for the past 6months and I wanted a new experience.

Getting to know Ocean Basket was going to have a new branch on Isacc John was very exciting for me.

So 31st of January 2018, I made my way to explore this new seafood restaurant.

MY EXPERIENCE

Parking was very easy…. no stress at all.
The ambiance was cool and very cozy.. I loved the chalkboard designs on the wall. Ocean Basket was extremely neat and the staff were friendly and polite.

I made my way upstairs and was greeted by a staff (Ola) who walked me to a seat. Every restaurant owner needs a staff like Ola. Soon after I sat comfortably I was given the menu. Let me inform now. Ocean Basket isn’t cheap oh! Just have enough money when you want to dine there.

So I intentionally stressed Ola.. I created the impression that I didn’t know what meal I wanted to have…. oh boy, he succeeded in convincing me to try out the Seafood Pasta with Tomatoe base. I have to be very sincere and give it to them.. I’m a lover of pasta and this one from Ocean Basket is the best I’ve had on the mainland. Very nice, delicious, not too spicy and the pasta was moderately cooked.

Although it wasn’t peperish at all. Other than that, I loved the meal totally and I had a good time. Slight music playing in the restaurant won’t be a bad idea.

Would I recommend Ocean Basket to someone.
