To celebrate workers day, leading media Personality Olive Emodi shared a few tips with us .

Review your CV: It’s a good time to update your “market”, appreciate all that you have done and ensure that your profile reflects same. Also review your CV online, working on LinkedIn profiles today is a good idea (That’s my target for this weekend).

Upgrade yourself: By the next workers day, where do you want to be? Think about that and start to implement the necessary steps. What courses do you need to take? Register for them today.

Be honest with yourself: What areas of your work ethics do you need to improve on? Google is your friend, every material you need is online.

Be strategic with your social media following: There are people who are dishing out free content in this time, follow them, join their webinars. I’m giving a lot of free media content on @theoliveemodinetwork, you should follow me there if you’re interested in media?.
.
Count your blessings: There are several things that you have done well as a worker, list those things down and celebrate yourself for a job well done. Don’t beat yourself for the ones you have not done, now is the time to get to work.
.
Rest and Reconnect : After all is said and done, rest. Treat yourself to a nice meal after the past year of hard work. Reach out to everyone that has been instrumental to your career growth and tell them THANK YOU!
.
For those who have lost jobs in this season, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I pray that you experience God as your source in this season.
Do not be discouraged, as people are losing jobs, many others are still getting new jobs. I have a friend who got the job of her dreams during this Covid19 season. I hope this encourages you to keep hope alive.
.
Employers of labour, appreciate your staff today. Don’t only show up to criticize when they don’t measure up, be equally gracious with compliments and financial reward where possible.
.
I pray that in one year, things will be totally different for you, for good. Happy Workers Day to every worker, WELL DONE??????.
.
What other suggestions did I miss? Feel free to share in the comments section?.
