Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Rema, Nominated For The 2020 MOBO Awards | See Full List

The 2020 Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards event will be held online on Wednesday, December 9, via YouTube from 7 PM GMT, while the main broadcast will go out on BBC One at 10.45 PM GMT. The nominees are in and our very own Nigerian and African stars made the cut in the nominations for different categories. Repping Nigeria, Burna Boy and Rema were nominated in the Best International Act category amongst an array of very talented acts. Burna Boy, Rema, Wizkid, Davido, Fireboy DML, Adekunle Gold and Tiwa Savage got nominated in the Best African Act Category

For the Best Male Act Category, Stormzy and Nines go up against J Hus, Headie One, AJ Tracey and Young T & Bugsey. Ms Banks, Darkoo got nominated in the Best Female Category.

The Album of the Year Category features Stormzy’s “Heavy Is The Head” amongst an array of critically acclaimed albums.

Outside music, Ghanian-British actress, Michaela Coel’s performance as Arabella in the critically acclaimed BBC One series “I May Destroy You” and Scottish-Rwandan actor, Ncuti Gatwa’s role as Eric Effiong in “Sex Education” are also recognised.

Tiwa Savage, Ms Banks and other acts will be performing at the 90-minute online ceremony
